I do Believe it or not I actually love the little dingy add-on flash, when bounced it works absolute wonders...

Please, Nianys, how you bounce this small flash? Some specialized small bouncer? You bounce it on the ceiling, or? Thank you! ;-)

Does it just bend back and up like the one on the 7 does?

Nianys,
I was a little shocked when you sold your NEX stuff because it were your photo's with the MD Rokkor 50 f/1.4 that made me buy one! Glad to hear you are not NEXless anymore. I also sometimes feel I should buy another system but then I always fall back on the trusty NEX. Btw, congrats on your bargain!

Guys, about the flash : the 6 and 7 have the same (excellent) built in unit that you can bounce by pushing it back with your finger (if only they'd made it fixable in this position, like the PAnny GX-1...). All the other NEX bodies, to my knowledge, have the little add-on flash, for which you can either buy or make a little reflector. It's very simple, I cut a little square piece of thin cardboard, wrap it in alufoil and fix it with a rubber hairband ! I posted pictures of this set-up long ago, maybe with a little search on my posts you can locate it.
I know that Nick(Cyprus) has bought the factory made reflector, it looks to be working great.

That's good to know. I don't think I've even mounted mine yet.

You know the C3 is a nice little camera. There are really only a few differences between it and the 5n and only a few of those are significant IMHO. The 5n is faster shot-to-shot, faster to activate the shutter and can use an external EVF. There are other differences but those are the main ones. The C3 has one big advantage that I wish the 5n had and that's the manual focus assist (magnification) tops out at 15x as opposed to 9.8x on the 5n. I think that is a big deal when using MF lenses.
I think you'll like the C3...although I'd love to hear your reaction to the shutter sound.

As in the customisable centre button, which gives access to 5 functions of your choice, like the 5n? Or different.
