    Firmware 1.01

I finally got it installed (Hey Sony...try bringing your archaic firmware updater into the 21st century). But my annoyance at the updater aside...the focusing on my Sigma 30/2.8 is faster. In fact I would even say quite a bit faster. About as fast as my X10 (maybe) and a lot more accurate than it was before. Nice little surprise that.

Heh it never occured to me firmware had anything to do with focus speed, i'd never felt the Sigmas were any slower than Sony lenses as some people were reporting

What camera? I looked and could not find any updated firmware for the NEX-6. Right now my camera is 1.00.

If you're running 10.8 like I was that's about your only option. FWIW it finally worked using an old Windows XP machine

Macs are so advanced, you don't even need to run software on them!

(And yet I'm a happy Mac user )
