Thread: Time to play the wait game...

Today I finally ordered a NEX-6 body, ordered the B&H Sigma lens package, memory card to go with the one I bought the other day on sale at Walmart (both 16gb), and I think I might grab a Minolta MC 50mm f/1.4 to try out as well. If I enjoy using MF as much as I think I will, a 30mm f/1.2 will be next on the list.

I already ordered a Nikon to NEX and Minolta to NEX adapter. Only other things I'd like to get right off the bat is a remote and spare batteries/external charger. Then I'll be set for a while.

I love the research part, I love the ordering part, I just hate the wait.

Oh yeah, having pulled the trigger on a deal the wait formit to arrive absolutely sucks!

Shouldn't be long. Have you downloaded the user's manual ? I always do that so I can get an idea of how I set up the camera when it gets here. Oh, and BTW, I think I had made a post on my N6 settings, you might want to look at it for a baseline.

I personally love the waiting stage. Every time I hear a diesel coming up my street, I perk up. (Is that it???)

Personally I can't stand the wait. Patience may be a virtue so I guess I'm not particularly virtuous lol

Yeah, I'm the same way. I buy something online and then the Chipmunks song, Christmas Don't be Late keeps running through my head.

No it doesn't.

What makes you old, is when you spend your waiting time buying other stuff on-line. What makes me feel old is when something arrives in the mail and I go - "oh when did I order that??" lol!

Minolta MC 50mm f/1.4 ordered. NEX-6 shipped this morning from CA so likely I won't see it until Monday or Tuesday Too bad too cause I am off work this weekend. It would have been nice to have a new toy to play with. Oh well, early next week isn't bad and who knows, maybe I'll be surprised. Then I only have to hope that either my Sigma lenses arrive as well or the Nikon adapter...or I'll be busy staring at a nice, new, unusable camera body all weekend which might be worse than not having it at all...lol
