Does anyone have shots from both the Minolta 50 F1.4 MC ROKKOR and the Minolta 50 F1.7 MC ROKKOR?
We're you looking for comparison pics of the same object?

I have both lenses, they are great. The only reason I would say to go with the 1.4 is that you have a stop at 2 and 2.8.
    The 1.7 straight to 2.8.

Both are really sharp at 2.8. Any wider and your getting soft edges, DOF is pretty shallow on the 1.4.

Here is the 1.4 shot at 1.4, ISO 800 at 1/25

And the 1.7 shot the same 1.7, ISO 800 1/25

    Super-Multi-Coated Macro-Takumar 1:4/100mm

Unprocessed (except color temperature and exposure). First one is 25% scaled and later is 100% crop. Aperture was 16 and ISO 200. Camera is Nex-C3.

I am pretty happy with my purchase (80 GBP). That lens suffices for my macro needs.

Haha thanks! These Canon lens have some hidden magic (just like Nubster wrote), every shot is unique and the bokeh is always so creamy!

Both, the Rokinon 85 1.4 and the Canon 50 1.4 seem to render absolutely great! I may consider one of them once I need a portrait lens.

Another one with NEX6 + Minolta MD 50 f2 combo (with little leveling and contrast adjustment)
