Meet Oz...new addition to the family

This is Oz. He is a 2.5 year old Dutch Shepherd. I got him today and he will be trained as a full service police K9 in the coming months and subsequently put to work with my department with me as his handler. Best part about it is he is MY dog. Most times a K9 belongs to the department and when the handler leaves the position, they loose the dog. Not in this case. He's mine. All mine.

Thanked by olli, Phoenix, serhan and 3 others.

I've actually seen worst on Malinois working lines, but since I bred show dogs (tiny ears) it always strikes me a bit. But he looks fine with a great, frank and open expression.

Great looking dog. I bet the better hearing will be an asset to a service dog!

I think it's just distortion from the lens making his ears look big

Aah, he's gorgeous, I like his ears. I have a 9month old Shepherd and he has little legs! My husband is in the police force and we get asked if Dex is a police dog; he's not. I should have called him Kato - the faithful side kick
